Sitting around with a WoundVac

I'm hanging out trying to heal a large infection in an incision site (don't ask) and for the second time in the past few years, I am attached to a Wound VAC - a miraculous little machine made by a company called KCI (Kinetic Concepts - KCI - trading at around $53). This company is incredible. I had one two years ago for an incisional MRSA, now for just a stubborn staph. The machine is now smaller, with a case and shoulder strap so you carry it around like a little purse. The only problem is that it tends to 'burp' every once in a while, or yell at you if there's a leak.

The company sends the equipment and necessary supplies (everything is administered by visiting nurses) promptly and has a 24 hour phone number in case you have a problem. You know, if you're supposed to invest in something you believe in and know, this is one place to put some of my retirement money.
